Pretty strange how this was talked about even 100 years ago. (Perhaps some things return/are done all 4 generations, because the memory/own records of the normal person dont stretch back father than their grandparents. So they take everything that happened before that point from the "authorities", instead of relying on their own records/what their elders told them.
