And appealing to those motivated to deny Māori indigenous status. What, they've only been there 950 years - same age as 'Ermine Street' near me in London, but 950 years is a whopping 32 generations!

The 'Redheads' theory purports there was a high culture of pre-Māori lasting one thousand years, and that they were 'Celts'! The naming of the disparate peoples now called 'Celts' came in 1707, weird!
