It would be no surprise if it was bad king John, absolute brute of a tyrant, he treated his court as a brothel, murdered his nephew Arthur, was detested nationally, so the presidents are copying their ancestor.
I have read somewhere the bright young girl’s research led back to Edward the third, but then that ancestry would lead back to John unless it was mingled with a wife’s genes.
Make no mistake John may have been demonic, he certainly acted as such.
Without John there would’ve been no Magna Carta, ut the provisions of Oxford did follow like 40 years later I think, his son Henry the third was a cabbage.

The comment is about the US presidents, but somehow found the way here... and I understand what you mean. I haven't researched it yet... just sent to see if anyone is familiar with the claim.
